Hi! I’m Katie.

I design better ways to serve people. Professionally, this means figuring out how to create the best experiences for people — and how words can help do that — at Facebook, where I’m a content strategist.

Before joining Facebook, I asked this same question in different contexts at the University of Missouri, where I completed a Master of Arts in strategic communication and a graduate certificate in nonprofit management. (I also received a Bachelor of Journalism in news editing from there in 2015.) In my master’s thesis, I examined the relationship between trustworthiness of news organizations and usage. While in school, I worked for newspapers, digital media companies and news startups in strategy, audience engagement and editing.

Three other things you should know about me:
